How to determine the real property taxes on a property:

First, determine which tax rates apply to the property in question. The Town of Lockport has five different school districts, and different special district tax rates depending on whether or not the property has access to municipal sewer and water. There are also different special districts for Carlisle Gardens, Lincoln Village and the Rapids light district. You can get school district and special district information from our Online Assessment System at elockport.com/town assess_information.html.

After determining which districts affect the property, use the rates below to determine the taxes. The rates are per thousand of assessed value. So divide the assessment by 1000 and then multiply that number by the tax rate.
